The Hozugawa River Boat Ride begins at the boarding area next to JR Kameoka Station.

The start of the cruise is actually quite calm. Depending on the season, you may come across different birds and other animals at the Hozukyō Ravine, starting with turtles, including the Chinese soft-shelled turtle. We invite you to look for them. A curious but fun fact: the “kame” in Kameoka means “turtle.”
