You might see sightseeing railcars or even the JR line while riding this boat.

You may have found the number of times we passed underneath railroad tracks rather odd. You may even have counted the instances. However, they are all one single, straight track; it’s the Hozugawa River that zigzags wildly. A JR sightseeing railcar runs along these tracks, and beyond JR Hozukyō Station here the boat will cross under Torokko Hozukyō Station. The suspension bridge you see now is sometimes inundated when heavy rainfall raises the water levels.
