In these remote mountains, Tama experienced great tragedy.
Her father, Akechi Mitsuhide, was pursued and killed in battle by feudal lord Hideyoshi, leading to the destruction of the Akechi clan and the separation of Tama from her husband and children at the age of 19.
The princess endured unimaginable pain, her once beautiful smile fading as she faced difficult days alongside her chamberlains.
In a poignant song, Tama expressed, “I saw people with unsettled hearts, but my pain never changed.”
Perhaps she sang these words under the starry sky, surrounded by fireflies, contemplating the grandeur of nature, the fleeting nature of human existence, and the injustices of the warring states.
