The Diamond Realm Mandala represents enlightenment; wisdom cuts through doubt, revealing the shape of a powerful Buddha. However, the Womb Realm Mandala represents compassion and tolerance gently enveloping all life – the universal consciousness that comprises the heart of Buddha.

In Mikkyō, these realms together are known as the Two Realms. Logic and emotion, male and female – the realms represent the balance and union of all opposites in life, through which one can achieve true enlightenment.
