──From there, Gosamaru was moved to Nakagusuku Castle.

With him he brought his “teacher.” An important aid to the Gosamaru clan, he had always been knowledgeable and skilled in castle architecture. If it weren’t for him, Gosamaru wouldn’t have been able to build the structures that he is revered for. After Gosamaru took his life, the “teacher” disappeared but it is said that his descendants eventually came back. The family moved into what was known as the Nakamura family home. An important remnant from over 260 years ago, the house used to be home to a loyal warrior family from Shuri and was moved to this area.

To this day it is renowned as an important remnant of pre-war Okinawa.
