We are almost at the end of our journey. The view from Satō Hut is a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The more urban area you see spread before you is Fuji-Yoshida and the large lake is Kawaguchi-ko.
Currently, Satō Hut is point of reference for those aiming to climb Mt. Fuji and is a spot where people start their climb from the fifth gō.

Climbing Mt. Fuji originally signified a quest to become reborn. From the base of the mountain, the Oshi village, Sengen Shrine, Umagaeshi, the first, second and third gō, you cross several boundaries making yourself one with the mountain. With these places as your backdrop, you can also make your own story of climbing Mt. Fuji.

The road that turns left past Satō Hut is the path that leads to the summit. The road straight ahead past the hut widens and becomes the path to Komitake Shrine. Continuing our journey, our next goal will be this shrine.
