Stepping through the entrance there is a special aura to the place. The external wall makes you think of a twelve sided shape covered in wood. As the spiral shape ascends, it appears to grow wider and wider. Rather than the conventional and efficient square shape, the complicated design is proof of the challenges undertaken by this architect.
The inside of the building is both a cafe and gallery, so you are welcome to go in for a look. The round shape appears to be stretching towards the sky. In the café space depending on where you sit, the view of the place changes. Visiting once is not the end of the story, rather, it is a place that is made to be visited many times over. As you visit more, an energy is born out of the place. Such a building fits well in the Daikanayama area.
