Kamiyoshida is a town that struggled to find a source of water. They had very few natural rivers here, so they had to go all the way to Yamanaka Lake to draw water through a man-made river, which passed through Kitaguchi-Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, and then branched out to run along different parts of the town. This is one of the spots where the river splits.
