The Dazaifu journey does not end at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. There is still much more to see.

After completing sections 1-4, return to the main approach to the shrine and have some umegaemochi for a snack. If you still have a few more hours, we recommend you rent a bicycle from Dazaifu Station and continue on your journey. We suggest first visiting Enoki Shrine, about 2.5 km away, where you can learn about the origin of umegaemochi. Afterwards, you can drop by the Dazaifu Government Office Ruins. Then you can visit the main attraction, the Kyushu National Museum. You should anticipate the whole journey to take 2-3 hours.
