When we walk the streets of Yokogawa, we remember what Mr. Murakami from the Association said. "I thought a shopping street is where you see stores lined up along a road, but not all commercial streets are structured that way."
This gallery is another place that carries the town's diversity. The owner, Ms. Lily, has had her career in design for years. When her kids left the nest, she went to the UK to study English. She would spend her time drawing while keeping up with her studies. As she saw many galleries there, she felt like her town could use a place where people could see and feel art.
When she returned to Japan, she decided to create a place to display works of art. "I should build one if there aren't any." And that right there is exactly Yokogawa's mentality.
