This is the Kannon Hall where a Buddhist statue, the Eleven-faced Bodhisattva, rests. It was once sent away from Itsukushima Shrine during the separation of Buddhism and Shinto during the Meiji Reformation. The temple was referred to as a guest hall and served its role to host many visitors. Now it’s open to the public. Sitting here with the statue, while listening to monks chanting the Sutra with a peaceful heart is where you achieve all three actions of three esoteric secrets to Nirvana.
