In the town of Uchiko you can still find traditional Japanese candles called “Warosoku” and take some incredible pictures of the crafting process. Just go to “Omori Warosoku,” where the family has been in the candle-making business since Edo times. Preserving the family tradition, they make candles that shine brighter than others with hopes to enlighten the lives of those who use them. The warm light is calming and peaceful, the same flickering light that has shone since long ago.
