You can tell the Main Hall used to stand here by looking at the remaining earth foundations. The Main Hall consists of several buildings and an inner sanctuary, which has been repeatedly rebuilt.

The current inner sanctuary building was originally from Ise Grand Shrine, brought over after the previous building was burnt down during World War II.

They have made efforts to reuse and recycle wood to continue to build without cutting down trees.
