JONATHAN HASEGAWA – an extraordinary space that enchants with ethereal light and shadows over time.

Jonathan Monk & Go Hasegawa. This hotel is a collaboration between a contemporary artist and a Japanese architect. The building's name, "Jonathan Hasegawa," is derived from their names. Let's take a walk through the building. The structure centers around columns shaped like the letter "W." While it may be hard to visualize at first, imagine the large column by the stairs representing the diagonal parts of the "W."

To elaborate, the letter "W" is composed of four diagonal lines. The stairs rising diagonally represent the second line of the "W." This may still be difficult to grasp through words alone, so let’s look at the blueprint. The app screen clearly marks the "W" in red, making it easier to understand which parts correspond to the "W." Use this to visualize the entire building structure.

These columns connect with the adjacent building. The large "W" columns are shared between this accommodation and the neighboring building. Thus, the two buildings are connected by these substantial columns forming a "W." If you have time, step out of the hotel, turn left, and then left again at the first corner. You’ll see the back of the building through the glass, demonstrating how the two buildings share the columns. This reveals A&A's desire to stay connected with the city.

Now, on the table, you'll find two cards. Each card displays a shape that exists somewhere within the building. During your stay, if you discover where these shapes are, scan the QR code. This will unveil even more secrets.
Take your time to explore the building.
