What superpower do you think this one has?
The Humboldt penguin doesn’t live in the Shimanto River, but in South America. Its black and white colors help protect it from predators. When looking at them from above, they look like they’re simply part of the ocean. When looking at them from beneath the ocean waves, they look like the sun. These penguins also have many superpowers, one of which is their “goggles.” Behind their eyes, there is a membrane that can cover their eyes when they dive into the water. These penguins can quickly identify objects in motion, and they use this ability to catch their food. They can easily catch fish swimming and also the fish that humans throw at them. Their precious eyes need to be protected, which is where the “goggles” come in.
By the way, they can swim about 19 miles per hour. They also make sure to eat fish head first so that their scales and fins don’t get stuck in their throats. They also release oil from their behinds and coat themselves in it. This coating helps keep water off of them so that they stay relatively dry. It’s just another of their amazing superpowers.
