Have you found all the recommended goods?

Time really flies, doesn’t it? The future world dreamed of in the past has already arrived. With this exhibition I wanted to convey the joy of the Expo with all the goods. Did you have fun?

Lastly, I’d like to hear more about the Mitsubishi Pavilion, so this is where I say farewell. The 2025 Expo is just around the corner! I hope you all have a great time!

This year’s Mitsubishi Pavilion’s theme is “Journey to Life.” You’ll ride on a vertical shuttle, capable of transcending time and space, and travel through the mysterious depths of the ocean to the distant reaches of space. This will be an epic journey through life itself. Please see the event hall for details.

Mitsubishi also had a pavilion in Expo ‘70. At the time, the theme was “Japan’s Nature and Japanese Dreams.” Guests were able to ride the moving walkway and see on a screen what Japan would look like in 50 years. They were able to see things like volcanic action and a futuristic underwater city. When he saw it, Shirai felt like this future was so close he could feel it.

When was the last dream of the future you had?

Some people may feel like it’s been a while since they dreamed of what the future might be like. In cases like this, it may be best to seek out the prototype of what you thought the future might be like. For Shirai, he saw many prototypes like the color TV, the bullet train, moving walkways, and so on, and he was so fortunate to have grown with them. There will always be a prototype of the future no matter what time you live in. Video games, cell phones, the internet—all of these started as someone’s simple dream, and now they’re proof of the future that’s grown with them. Dreaming just might be what helps us get the positive energy to keep living in the present.

There’s no doubt that a new prototype awaits you in the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. Please look forward to it!
