INFORMATION
DESIGNART 2017 has another look at the link between books in our life and mass media through art works featuring books by designers. Grafic designer Shouhei Yoshida joins the art festival with his original art work “Shinjuku (collage)” that uses pictures by photographer Daido Moriyama, prints and digital books. Sculptor Ryuta Iida engraves books. Contemporary artist Taihei binds books. During the festival, we plan to have a talk show hosted by book coordinator Shintaro Uchinuma and artists and a party with a presentation of beautifully designed Japanese sake Ohmine brewed by Ohmine Shuzou.
