There is a product that you can buy only at this location.
In Kiyosumi-Nagaya remnants of the Showa era remain, with speciality shops lining the street. In the row of shops, sticking out from sidewalk is a lush and sprawling Acacia tree.
The wild plants in the store look as if they were taken from a wild jungle and make this place feel like more than a flower shop.
Here at Luff, Taku Kamimura and his wife Marie manage the place. Originally, Taku was not into the idea of freshly picked plants. The reason he originally got into the flower industry was simple, because the job interview he passed happened to be a large flower company.
It was there that he became addicted to plants and the deep meaning in flower arrangement. For the better part of ten years he worked at the company. At first assigned to desk work, but as he wanted to be close to customers he eventually decided to join a store branch.
“There are are many aspects of individualism in a flower shop. It’s exactly like when you find a hairstylist that fits you. Shouldn’t you also find a person who can suggests plants that fit your lifestyle?” said Mr. Taku with a smirk.
While you are here you may see a beautiful flower encapsulated in glass and submerged in water. The plant is a “Herbarium”. Each of these flower products is created in the store.Through trial and error they were successful preserving the plant’s natural color.
Taku and his wife Marie wanted to communicate the appeal of plants to customers who are new to keeping flowers. One way to do so is to introduce plant varieties that are easy to care for.
When you go home you may find yourself wanting to try to redecorate your house to incorporate flowers.
Sometimes suddenly an intruder comes into your life to give you color. For example, an important person who imparts on you a message about the beauty of imagination or the mysteries of the seasons. It is the plants that you meet here that make you want to decorate the places that you reside.
