Though a bit difficult to notice when immersed in lingering thoughts about Akakabe, you can hear the murmur of water flowing nearby. Welling up from around here, this is the source of the river. The river flows straight from here into the ocean, and in the past, many would grow crops along it.

Though shrouded by thick grass, you should see a rock past the fence. That is a tomb known as Neko-ga-Iwaya. This tomb’s existence means that people once lived here. The tomb might have belonged to a renowned person who had a small population of followers.
To the people living in those days, this river might have been indispensable.
