Destination: Naha Bus Terminal’s Nakajima “Ufu-ishi” Stone

The base for the Kēbin Lines was Naha Station, which has now become Naha Bus Terminal. The central hub of transportation for the locals hasn’t changed since those times. When going to Naha Bus Terminal, we want you to try to find the Nakajima “Ufu-ishi” stone. It may just be a coralline boulder, but it has stood for generations and continued to protect the lives of the Okinawan people.

And lastly, you may be wondering why there is a coralline boulder here in the first place. As you may have assumed, this area was once located underwater. The center of Naha used to be more inland, and this area was an island floating just off the bay. This rock is evidence of that history.
