There you will find the names of more than 240,000 American and Japanese soldiers carved into a monument. Upon viewing this yourself, you will truly feel for the people who lost their lives in the war that are commemorated here.
The Okinawa Peace Memorial Museum is also located on the park grounds. In this museum, you can experience the reality of the war through the various documents and videos exhibited here, which all offer unique viewpoints on the war.
