It’s believed that there was a “pillar-supported building” outside the stone circle. No one knows what it was used for-- it might have been a warehouse for storing food and tools used for the festival or temporary housing for people who set up the festival or the shaman who oversees it. Since it’s less durable than the pit dwellings the settlement residents use, it’s likely that this pillar building had a temporary use such as for the festival day, and could be disassembled after the festival. But this is all mere speculation, as no one knows the answer.
By the way, there are also five pillars northwest of Manza Stone Circle of which the origins are also unknown. The pillars did not offer shelter like a pit dwelling, so they might have been used for religious monuments like a totem pole. Again, pure speculation.
