You can enjoy lots of gourmet food in Moji Port, ranging from green tea flavored shaved ice, to champon ramen, roasted sweet potato, and everything in between. But even with all these great choices, sometimes all I want is to have something with bananas from the famous Moji banana auctions.

The banana juice store, Teruyo, just recently opened in Moji Port. Teru, the owner, is now 70 years old, and she runs the store with her husband. Teruyo's bright and powerful personality brings to mind the banana auctioneers of times gone by.

Her banana juice is on a level of its own because she knows exactly when a banana is perfectly ripe. You can try, but you just can’t find banana juice as sweet and aromatic as this anywhere else.

Her banana juice has only two ingredients-- bananas and milk or soy milk-- She doesn’t add any sugar or spices to her recipe.

Something just clicks when you’re walking around Moji with a cup of banana juice in your hand.
