“The draft beer temperature is exactly 5 degrees Celsius (45 F).”
I just couldn't help but lift the curtains and enter the izakaya when I saw that sign. I wonder how many people feel the same way-- no one can resist such a tempting sign.
As you lift the curtains at the entrance of Izakaya Musashi in Uomachi Gintengai, suddenly you’re immersed in an atmosphere of nostalgia.
Here you can enjoy all kinds of food, including classic izakaya dishes and Kokura specialties. Of course, you should pair that with a glass of sake.
But try not to be shocked by the low prices.
300 yen for draft beer, 400 yen for deep-fried yam, and only 440 yen for boiled sardines, a Kokura local specialty. Are you serious? I must be reading the menu wrong… with such high-quality food, why is it so cheap?
I almost felt guilty enjoying such delicious and unique food and sake for such a reasonable price. Almost.
