The festival “Tobata Gion Yamagasa” is famous for its giant pyramid of lanterns called yamagasa parading through town. Do you see the entrance of the arcade street up ahead? It’s designed to open up during the festival so the pyramid of lanterns can go through. It’s no wonder they call this festival “The Pyramid of Lights.”
