This pair of earrings is a heritage from Sam Sonn’s mother, passing through many generations in her family. She has had these earrings since she was 10 years old. For safekeeping, she buried the earrings with other belongings underground during the Khmer Rouge’s time. Sam Sonn only wears these earrings on special occasions.
