BnA Alter Museum

BnA Alter Museum will present 『AIR3 SCG』, an exhibition starting 10/14/2023 for about half a year.

A group of 5 consisting of 8 members comprised international and domestic artists, researchers, and space operators. Members have worked at the artist in resistance at BnA Alter Museum from July to September, mainly researching and constructing their works here in Kyoto.
The exhibition will be held at our staircase gallery to showcase the achievements of their time as artists in residence.
The 5 groups were carefully picked from the 122 groups that applied to our artist-in-residence in April 2023, based on their internationality, locality, commonality, chemistry, institutional structure, and more.

Namae Myoji will be sharing thoughts about family, home, and travel that came from family problems that accrued during the stay, Teom Chen + INTA-NET KYOTO will be showcasing the communication/ interaction between the viewers and ecology simulated in the visual world and reality, Ako Tubasa who deeply cares and think about the materials and research about the media that shows us, Claire Fujita+Koichi Shiraishi＋Takuya Ishikawa will be introducing us to spinning stones to bringing our view for maintenance and care to admire, Kubotaoguiss Tomohiro who turns the action of holding, caring and organizing his grandfather's collections in to an art form.

At the exhibition, we will be giving out an audio guide from the artists talking about their works for this show. 20% of the profit from the entry fee will be given out to the 5 groups of artists.
