Immersive Night Walk Urban Solitude

In this piece, the audience is guided by a voice speaking through headphones as you walk through the streets. Within the seemingly ordinary scenery, the whispers of the characters create a space where the people you casually pass and the city’s relentless bustle take on new, fantastical dimensions. The experience transforms the urban fabric of Shibuya into a stage, weaving sound and story into a tale of love, loss, and the solitude of the human spirit, inviting the audience to uncover the extraordinary hidden within the everyday.

Story
Once, there was a job in Shibuya for writing love letters on behalf of others. A ghostwriter, consumed by loneliness after the loss of his wife, Iris, hears the whisper of Lethe, the god of oblivion: "If you write the stories of 100 lonely souls in this city, I will erase your grief." The ghostwriter begins writing letters without recipients, capturing the unspoken cries of hearts that cannot find words. Meanwhile, Iris’s soul saves these letters, transforming them into melodies that quietly play in a bar, offering solace to those who sit there alone. And then comes the 100th letter—.
