You want to go get a drink now, right? But don’t you you want to take a bath and get refreshed before heading out? The best choice for times like these is to check out Yu-City, which is right by JR Kamata Station. It’s only a 5 minute walk from the East Exit, right in front of your eyes.
They have a Kuroyu bath as well as a half-outdoor Rotemburo bath. It feels so good you’ll want to sing, but there are lots of houses around here so you gotta keep it down. With an utase-yu “waterfall” bath, electric bath, jacuzzi, sauna, and cold water bath, there is more than enough to keep you satisfied. That’s why it’s so popular with the local aunties and uncles. There is always a line out the door right before they open at 11:00.
That’s right! They also have massage chairs, which would be perfect after a warm soak. Your blood circulation will be flowing well after the bath, so it will be even more effective.
The best part about finishing the bath is the cold drinks. In the paradise that is Yu-city, there are restaurants on the third floor. Just like Kamata Onsen, they have Karaoke, and, after a while, you’ll be friends with everyone in the room. Some people don’t like this kind of community vibe of a blue-collar town, but those who love it, really love it!
The menu has everything from teishoku set meals to ramen, curry, and desserts. It even has snacks to go along with alcohol, so you can stop here and fill your stomach before heading out on the town. A lot of neighborhood locals come here, so it might be a bit scary, but everyone is really nice, so don’t worry.
