Long ago, this used to be a volcanic crater. Legend has it that ogres piled stones into makeshift dwellings here. Before that, there was apparently a passage created by volcanic activity that led deep into the mountains. Nearby you will find the “Kubotaishi Inkstone”, a megalith that is always wet with water.
