The “Sunny Bread,” a French bread pastry filled with sweetened condensed milk, comes especially recommended.

It’s the most popular item in the bakery, but make sure you get there before lunchtime or it’ll most likely be sold out. The locals love its simple and light taste and eat it every day.

If you’re still hungry after the pastry, we recommend you buy an omelet too. At only 50 yen an omelet, most people buy 10, 20, even 30 omelets at a time! The price is the same as back in the day when children would use their pocket money to buy an omelet.
